CBS Seeks Talent for its Broadband Channel

LOS ANGELES,
November 27: CBS is looking for talent for its broadband-video channel
innertube and has signed on Michael Cera of Arrested Development to develop a short-form series.

Cera, who
starred in FOX’s cult series as the son of Justin Bateman’s character, will
write, produce and star in The Good Life, innertube’s first scripted program that also has
a talent deal attached to it. According to reports, CBS has announced that The
Good Life
will be shot
in mockumentary style. At least eight episodes on varying lengths will be
produced, with an option to do more.

Since it first
launched in May, innertube has offered a mix of repurposed CBS programs as well
as original projects. The broadband site recently debuted the CBS drama 3
Lbs
one week before its
premiere on the network.
