CBS Preps Multiplatform Launch for Big Brother

NEW YORK: CBS has expanded the multiplatform reach of Big Brother for the 11th season, which kicks off tomorrow, encompassing on air, online, mobile and premium cable platforms.

The show is set to three times a week following its premiere tomorrow night: Sundays at 8 p.m., Tuesdays at 9 p.m. and Thursdays at 8 p.m. Online, CBS has launched one Twitter feed, featuring daily updates from the house, called BigBrotherScoop, and another, BigBrotherHoH, in which the show’s Head of Household can tweet messages to viewers. In addition, on Friday, Inside Dish with Ross Mathews will launch with weekly Big Brother segments at www.TheInsider.com. Mathews will also conduct weekly chats with the latest evicted contestants. The Big Brother website on CBS.com has been relaunched, delivering more video and photos, a redesigned video player and a new section where fans can interact. The online component also includes the Big Brother Fantasy League, an online contest that lets fans compete for the chance to win $1,000 while they follow the on-air broadcast.

In addition, full-length episodes, highlight clips and other content will be available across the CBS Audience Network, and CBS and RealNetworks are again teaming to provide live streaming video from the house. Subscribers can watch any one of four live camera feeds.

Episodes of the show will also be available on the CBS Mobile Channel on FloTV’s mobile TV service. Also for cell phones is the Big Brother Mobile Game.

CBS is also partnering again with sister company Showtime for Big Brother: After Dark, a live look inside the Big Brother house during the late-night hours.  The show will air for three hours a night, seven days a week, on the cable network’s "SHO2" channel.
