CBS Hails Top Ratings Spot

NEW YORK, May 9: CBS says
that it is back in the number one ratings spot since the return of original
scripted fare following the 100-day-long writers’ strike, averaging 10.24
million viewers.

Citing Nielsen data for
the period March 31 to May 4, CBS says its 10.24 million viewer average trumps
FOX’s 9.72 million, ABC’s 8.56 million and NBC’s 6.89 million. The network had
four of the top ten post-strike programs: CSI, Two and a Half Men, NCIS
and CSI: Miami. Out of the top
20, CBS was home to ten top-rated shows; the others are Without a Trace, Criminal Minds, The New Adventures of Old Christine, Survivor: Micronesia, CSI: NY and Cold Case.
