CBS Consumer Products Announces New Branding Initiative

NEW YORK, June 10: CBS
Consumer Products has unveiled “Television City,” a new branding initiative
that aims to make its collection of 150-plus classic television series,
including The Twilight Zone,
available to both consumers and retailers through distinctive packaging and
signage programs.

The first products under
the “Television City” banner are expected to make their debut in stores in
2009. CBS’s library consists of classic shows like Cheers, Mighty Mouse, Beverly Hillbillies,
The Little Rascals
, Dynasty, The Love Boat, Taxi,
Rawhide
and more.

In 2009, there will be
milestone anniversaries for shows like The Twilight Zone (50th), The Brady Bunch (40th), Happy Days (35th) and Rawhide (50th).

“Television City will
become the umbrella title for all our classic TV shows,” said Liz Kalodner, the
executive VP and general manager of CBS Consumer Products. “With over 150
iconic series, Television City will offer marketers, manufacturers and
retailers the ability to engage millions of consumers through television’s
most-watched series, favorite characters and unforgettable moments.”
