LONDON: A range of new series have been commissioned by CBBC, including more episodes of the doc show My Life, as well as a project featuring comedian Vic Reeves.

The doc series My Life returns in 2012 with four new half-hour episodes, each following children with unique stories to tell. The four new programs are Sticks & Stones, about a girl with brittle bones; Me, My Mum and Her Kidney, following the story of a boy who is in need of a new kidney; The Home Grown Boys, about a group of fruit and vegetable growers; and Crowning Glory, spotlighting kids with alopecia.

The 13×28-minute Vic Reeves Project features the eponymous comedian as he challenges kids to explore questions asked by the CBBC audience.

Also on the roster is Made By Me, a 5×30-minute program that looks at workers who are responsible for making products, such as trainers and jeans, to witness the conditions under which beloved belongings are produced. Jedward’s Tour of Britain features twins John and Edward Grimes as they visit World Heritage Sites across the U.K.

Damian Kavanagh, controller of CBBC, said: "These recent commissions are all very different, and each brings something new to CBBC for our audience to experience and enjoy. They all encourage CBBC viewers to look at the world around them and think about it in a new and interesting way—and that’s extremely important to us. We want to continuously surprise and excite our audience by bringing them a diverse new range of programs that they wouldn’t find anywhere else except on CBBC."
