LONDON: The game show Cash Cab, from the ALL3MEDIA International catalogue, has landed an order from Jamaica’s Real Jam, bringing the total number of episodes now commissioned around the world to more than 4,500.

Cash Cab is reaching its 100th episode in Israeli, where it has been airing on Keshet since 2007. The format recently received an Israeli Award for best documentary entertainment series.

A new deal with Jamaica’s Real Jam brings 20 episodes of Cash Cab to Television Jamaica starting at the end of September. Later this year, a first season of 30 episodes will launch to pan-Asian audiences through an English-language deal with AXN. France’s W9 will debut 20 episodes in October. A renewal deal in Spain sees 65 episodes commissioned by ATN to air on Canal Sur. A second season of 20 episodes will be produced for Mega TV in Greece.

Stephanie Hartog, the executive VP of international formats at ALL3MEDIA International, commented, “Cash Cab offers all the key elements broadcasters are looking for in formats today—proven success, cost effective production and easy adaptation to suit local tastes and scheduling requirements. With more than 4,500 episodes now produced, Cash Cab is quickly becoming one of the world’s most prolific game show formats and we are delighted to add this important new award to its success story.”
