Can’t Stop Media Preps Debut DISCOP Outing

LONDON: Can’t Stop Media, the distribution outfit founded by former Zodiak Media executive Matthieu Porte, is heading to DISCOP with a lineup of shows headlined by a special in which Jean-Paul Gaultier interviews Lady Gaga.

The company will be represented at DISCOP by Damien Porte, formerly of Fox Look, Can’t Stop Media’s VP for business development and international distribution. He will be presenting the one-hour special Gaga by Gaultier, produced by Dak Tirak for TF6, which has already notched up sales to Australia, Belgium and Brazil. A U.S. deal will also be announced soon.

Also on the slate is the French reality series Angels of Reality, produced by La Grosse Equipe for NRJ12, which has secured format options in Portugal, Spain and Italy, plus TF1’s fact-ent hit Intimate Confessions, the France 3 game show Slam! and the ARTE comedy Fortunes.

In addition to shoring up sales, Can’t Stop Media is looking to develop creative partnerships with Central and Eastern European companies at DISCOP. “Can’t Stop Media is already distributing Alaminut, an Eastern European comedy series that is international at its core as most of its gags are silent. And we are looking for other local partners to create additional synergies," said Porte.
