Canada’s ACT Celebrates 35th Anniversary

TORONTO: Canada’s Alliance for Children and Television (ACT) is hosting a special 35th anniversary edition of its annual Awards of Excellence Gala in Toronto on June 3, which will be hosted by Degrassi‘s Stacie Mistysyn.

Taking place at CBC’s Glenn Gould Studio, the event, hosted by Mistysyn together with Daniel Cook (This is Daniel Cook) and Rachel Marcus (Booky), will honor the best in Canadian youth and kids’ content. “Stacie, Daniel and Rachel are excellent examples of the kind of successes that ACT wants to celebrate in this 35th anniversary year, by marking achieved industry milestones and tying a successful past to a bright future,” says ACT’s executive director, Caroline Fortier.
