Camera Café Format Finds Success in China

PARIS: The Chinese version of Camera Café, a format from Mindshare in association with Nestlé, has made its way across Asia, including a successful launch in China.

The Philippines first adapted the French format, followed by Vietnam and China, which picked up the concept for the show from CALT Distribution. The first season of 60 episodes scored more than 10 million views for the launch episode in less than two months on China’s YouKu.com. The format also received the award for Best Brand Content Program at the 2010 Asia Digital Media Awards. A second season is being produced in China and Astro in Malaysia is preparing for its own version to launch.
