Cake Distribution Secures New Deals for Skunk Fu!

LONDON, April 11: Cake Distribution has licensed its
52×12-minute comedic adventure animated series Skunk Fu! to France 5, NRK and
RAISAT, for premiere this fall.

Cake Distribution has also
licensed the series to Cartoon Network Asia. The series, targeted at
kids aged 6-12-years-old, was created by Aidan Harte, and is a Cartoon Saloon, Telegael and Hoek, Line & Thinker
co-production for Ireland’s TG4 and Super RTL. Skunk Fu! features a western kid named Skunk who is learning Kung Fu
from a wise old Panda in China so that he can help the resistance fight against
the evil Black Dragon and his army of Ninja Monkeys.

“It is always key to secure
broadcast exposure across the different platforms in the three key European
markets to provide a strong launch platform for any series,” said Genevieve
Dexter, the managing director of Cake Distribution. “Consequently, we are very
proud to have CBBC, Super RTL, Canal J and France 5 as broadcast partners on Skunk
Fu!
in these territories. With further
support from RAISAT, TG4, SVT, S4C, NRK and RTBF, we feel we have a fair chance
of being noticed in Europe when we launch Skunk Fu! later this year.”
