CABLEready Lands Pre-MIP Sales & Renewals

NORWALK: CABLEready has scored a number of pre-MIPTV sales and renewal agreements for more than 470 hours of programming, including first-time deals with Russia’s Red Media and Latin America’s Sun Channel.

Red Media snapped up The Minimalist for its kitchen TV channel, and Great Museums, Envy and Karma Trekkers for its HD life channel. Meanwhile, Sun Channel picked up World Party.

Spanish broadcaster LaSexta renewed its agreement for Forensic Files and Dominick Dunne’s Power, Privilege & Justice.

In New Zealand, Arts Channel picked up new episodes of Inside the Actors Studio, including those featuring James Franco, Colin Firth and Jim Carrey, while Food TV renewed its deal for A Cook’s Tour and licensed The Minimalist.

Sweden’s Kanal 5, Latin America’s Film & Arts and Poland’s Canal + also picked up episodes of Inside the Actors Studio.

Scandinavian broadcaster Nonstop acquired new episodes of Reelz Channel’s Hollywood Dailies and picked up Hollywood Uncensored for the first time.

Quebec’s Canal D also picked up additional episodes of Medical Detectives, while India’s SET Media snapped up Hollywood’s Top Ten.

The deals were closed by Peter De Jong, CABLEready’s VP of sales and marketing and Tatiana Figueiredo, the director of sales.
