CABLEready Acquires New York Times Interview Series

NORWALK, September 28: CABLEready has picked up the
exclusive multiplatform U.S. and international distribution rights from The
New York Times
for its signature TimesTalks interview series.

CABLEready plans to offer up 34 one-hour episodes of the
series, filmed in 2006 and 2007, for all forms of television, video-on-demand
and home video/DVD in the U.S. and internationally during MIPCOM.

Taped by City University Television, CUNY TV, and shown
throughout the five boroughs of New York City, TimesTalks features in-depth conversations with well-known
public figures such as Joan Didion, James Taylor, Mikhail Baryshnikov, the
women of The Sopranos, Madeleine
Albright, Brian Williams, Larry David, Bob and Harvey Weinstein, the late David
Halberstam and dozens of other prominent artists, entertainers and newsmakers.

offer a series of this caliber to a worldwide audience for the first time,”

CABLEready’s lineup at MIPCOM will also include six new
weekly lifestyle series that were produced exclusively for The New York
Times
: Vows,
The Minimalist, Circuits, Frugal Traveler, Executive Pursuits
and Travel Postcards. Available for the first time internationally, each
segment runs about five minutes in length and covers a variety of topics
including simple and delicious recipes, cutting-edge electronic gadgets,
money-saving travel tips, unique leisure activities, and more. Some of the
segments are offered in HD.
