C4's Welton Joins Lion Television

LONDON,
February 21: Lion Television has
appointed former Channel 4 commissioning editor Simon Welton as its senior
entertainment executive.

Welton’s production
credits including series editing and executive producing Big Brother, Soccer Aid, The Games and The
Match. He started his career at The
Big Breakfast and the 11
o’clock show before moving on to Big
Brother at Endemol; after this, he
worked on a range of entertainment shows at the BBC and Talkback.

Additionally, Neale
Simpson has been promoted to the role of entertainment producer within Lion Television’s
entertainment team.
