C4I Inks Gecko First Look Deal

LONDON, November 10: Channel 4 International has signed a
first look distribution deal with Gecko Productions, the new independent outfit
established by former Television Corp executives Viv McGrath and Andrew Brann.

Channel 4 International has distributed several of McGrath’s
previous films made at Redback Films and Mentorn Productions, including The
Boy Who Gave Birth To His Twin, The
80-Year-Old Children and The Man
Who Was Pregnant.

“Viv and C4i have had a great relationship and her films
have always been among the highlights of our factual output each year,” said
Richard Life, the head of programming at C4i. “When she and Andrew decided to
set up on their own, it made real sense for us to find a way to continue that
relationship in a more formal way.”
