BritBox International has expanded its agreement with BAFTA, now becoming home to both film and television award ceremonies in all of its global territories.

Specifically, BritBox will continue its broadcast of the EE BAFTA Film Awards on February 18, while also including coverage of the BAFTA Television Awards with P&O Cruises, taking place on May 12.

The deal covers exclusive simulcast streaming for both awards ceremonies in 2024 and 2025 for BritBox audiences in the U.S., Canada, South Africa, Denmark, Sweden, Finland and Norway. Australian audiences will also be able to view both awards ceremonies on BritBox on-demand.

“BritBox is known for being home to the best British content from some of the U.K.’s most prolific names and iconic cultural events, which makes our simulcast of the BAFTAs to our audiences around the world so special,” said Reemah Sakaan, CEO of BritBox International. “BritBox and BAFTA have a shared vision to celebrate the very best of British creativity, so it has been a pleasure to work together to expand our partnership to include both the BAFTA Film and Television awards later this spring.”
