Blueprint Takes Stake in Oasis International

LOS ANGELES, May 3: Blueprint Entertainment, the production
outfit set up by former Alliance Atlantis executives John Morayniss and Noreen
Halpern, has taken a “significant stake” in Canadian distributor Oasis
International for an undisclosed sum.

Blueprint recently received a multimillion-dollar investment
from Robert Lantos and Jeff Sagansky to boost its international presence and
its production slate. The undisclosed Oasis investment expands the company’s
reach into the distribution arena, with the ability to represent its own titles
on the worldwide market and take on third-party fare. Oasis will continue to be
run by Peter Emerson as president. Oasis has represented a number of Blueprint
titles over the past five years. Blueprint also recently entered into a deal
for FremantleMedia to represent its new properties Love You To Death and The Best Years.

"We are thrilled to have finalized this very important
strategic acquisition in Oasis International,” commented John Morayniss, the
chairman and CEO of Blueprint. “Peter Emerson has done an extraordinary job
building Oasis over the last 16 years and now with our combined capital
resources, expertise, relationships and common vision, we will take Oasis and
Blueprint to the “next level” as a major independent production and
distribution player in the international marketplace. We couldn’t be happier
joining forces with Peter and his incredible sales team.”

“This strategic integration and investment in Oasis is
exactly what we have been seeking,” added Emerson. “The deal includes
substantial capital funding to increase our support and investment in third
party productions which results in an “amped up” Oasis utilizing the added
clout of the Blueprint brand and relationships.”
