Blood Ties Returns for Second Season on Lifetime

LOS ANGELES, September 20:
Lifetime has announced that its vampire-themed drama series Blood Ties will return for a second season of 10 new episodes
this fall, beginning Friday, October 12 at 11 p.m.

Blood Ties joins Lifetime's new Friday night programming
line-up, which will also feature new episodes of the Lifetime original reality
series Lisa Williams: Life Among the Dead and the new Lifetime original reality competition series, America's
Psychic Challenge
.

Lifetime premiered Blood
Ties
this past March. Based on
Tanya Huff's best-selling novels, The Blood Books, the series stars Christina Cox (The Chronicles
of Riddick
) as Vicki, a private
investigator specializing in solving supernatural crimes, who joins in an
unexpected partnership with Henry (Kyle Schmid, Beautiful People), a mysterious vampire who is a descendant of
Henry VIII. The series also stars Dylan Neal (JAG) as Vicki's ex-partner and ex-lover Mike.

This season, Vicki
discovers her life has become even more complicated as she takes on cases
involving a spirit who hires her to find out how he died and another
investigation where people can change shapes into animals. Meanwhile, Henry
discovers there may be another vampire hunting in his territory while Mike
finds his position with the police force further jeopardized by his connection
to Vicki. The season also features
guest-star Danny Trejo (Sin City 2)
as an ancient mummy brought back to life.

Blood Ties is produced by Insight Film Studios and
Kaleidoscope Entertainment for Lifetime Television. It is also produced and
developed in association with CHUM Television.
