Best Boy Entertainment Sets Up New Divisions

ST. JOHN’S: Canada’s Best Boy Entertainment has established separate interactive and international content divisions with the creation of Best Boy Media and Best Boy International, respectively.

Best Boy International (BBI) will market Best Boy products to broadcasters on the global market and direct consumers through its online initiatives. Best Boy Media (BBM) will develop and produce interactive content based on the company’s current and future programming slate. The first project will be an interactive gaming website based on the children’s series Mickey: Everyone’s Best Friend.

The integrated entertainment company is led by Ed Martin, who has more than 30 years of experience in the world of art and management. Over the past four years, Best Boy has produced six TV series for Canadian broadcasters, covering genres such as children’s, documentary, travel and adventure and reality.

Martin, executive producer and founder of Best Boy Entertainment, commented: “Every program and series we produce passes a litmus test for international sales’ potential and transmedia adaptability. Best Boy International will find a home for our productions in all territories and Best Boy Media will answer the call for interactive development spanning mobile applications, the web, and augmented reality. At Best Boy, the value of new media and interactivity is integral to the future national and global success of our productions and ancillary products. This is a truly exciting moment for our company.”
