Bert and Ernie Claymation Set for U.S. Launch

NEW YORK, July 22: The
Great Adventures of Bert and Ernie,
the claymation series produced by Sesame Workshop, NDR, Ki.Ka and Milkshake!, will air in the U.S. during Sesame Street, beginning next month.

The five-minute segments,
originally created for broadcast outside of the U.S., focus on friendship,
understanding and respecting differing perspectives and resolving conflict. The
segments were animated by Misseri Studio in Italy and produced by Sesame
Workshop’s senior executive producer, Arlene Sherman.

Bert and Ernie’s Great
Adventures has been presold to
Cartoon Network in India, DR-TV in Denmark, Disney Asia, Disney Spain, HOP in
Israel, NPS/Zeppelin in the Netherlands, NRK in Norway and SVT in Sweden. Deals
have also been closed in other markets.
