Being Human U.S. Scores International Deals

LONDON: The North American adaptation of the British drama Being Human has notched up a number of international deals courtesy of Zodiak Rights, including a U.S. home-video and digital agreement with Entertainment One.

Produced by Muse Entertainment for Syfy in the U.S. and CTV/Space in Canada, the 13-hour series has also been pre-sold to Tele Munchen for all German-speaking territories; SPE Networks – Asia; AXN in Hungary, the Czech Republic and Slovakia; DBS in Israel; Media Vera in Turkey; and AXN Sci-Fi in Italy,

The U.S. version of Being Human is set in Boston and focuses on three paranormal roommates: a vampire, a ghost and a werewolf. The original BBC version sold to more than 40 markets, including France (France 4); Spain (Cuatro and FOX); Belgium (VLT and Fox); Sweden (SVT); Norway (NRK); Australia (ABC); the U.S. (BBC America); Canada (CBC and CTV); and Brazil (Globosat).
