NEW YORK: The newly created post of senior VP of fiction for the sales and distribution division at BBC Worldwide is to be filled by Paul Davis-Miller.

Davis-Miller is the second appointment to the sales and distribution team. He joins Greg Johnson, who last week was named senior VP for factual sales and distribution. Based in New York, Davis-Miller will work closely across the fiction genre and manage relationships with BBC in-house and indie producers to bolster co-production opportunities for potential partners and find suitable platforms for BBC’s content. Both Davis-Miller and Johnson report to Matt Forde, the executive VP of sales and co-productions at BBC Worldwide Americas.

"Greg and Paul will be huge assets to our Sales & Distribution team and their experience will strengthen our sales division and invigorate our business across the U.S.," said Forde. "Paul has a proven sales track record, having held senior positions at two established production and distribution companies. BBC Worldwide is already active in the co-production business in the U.S. and Paul’s extensive background in production and ability to recognize the needs of our production partners will be immensely valuable to our clients."
