BBC Worldwide Expands VTech Licensing Deal

LONDON: BBC Worldwide has expanded its licensing deal with VTech internationally for its In the Night Garden property.

BBC Worldwide is now rolling out a full merchandising program to support the brand on a global level, with more than 67 licensees currently signed, across all major categories. BBC Worldwide announced a licensing partnership with VTech last July for the U.K., and is now expanding the relationship to include France, Spain, Benelux and Scandinavia.

Product introductions will include the Sing & Slide Nursery Book, an interactive book with music, sounds, lights and interactive sliders; Spin & Discover Gazebo, which introduces numbers, colors and music; Sort & Learn Pinky Ponk, a shape sorter with number or music mode; and Explore & Play Table, an interactive play table, with both learning and music modes.

Produced by Ragdoll Productions and created by Andrew Davenport, In the Night Garden has inked sales with 33 broadcasters, including Treehouse in Canada, ABC in Australia and the recently announced sale to Chinese state broadcaster CCTV.
