BBC Worldwide Bolsters Digital Delivery Team with New Hires

LONDON,
September 28: BBC Worldwide’s Digital Delivery team, the recently launched
online unit of the BBC’s commercial arm, has announced a series of new
appointments.

The new team,
formed in May as a central resource for all of BBC Worldwide’s online
consumer-facing activity, will be developing, advising and delivering online
opportunities for key BBC Worldwide brands, as well as looking at online
community and retail opportunities across the company.

The new hires
include Dan Heaf as director of digital ventures, who is responsible for
growing new ideas and concepts through initial stages prior to development;
Alex White as launch director, who will lead some of the company’s key web
delivery projects from conception to launch; and Matt Walton as launch editor,
who has previously worked at BBC Audio and Music Interactive, and was involved
with many BBC entertainment, culture and music websites.

Other
appointments from within BBC Worldwide include Duncan Swain as creative
director, Craig Musker as head of development, Paul Owen as the new operations
director, Chris Hankins as the head of user experience and Jon Noakes, who will
be involved with digital strategy and business development, and will look at
potential acquisitions and/or partnerships.
