BBC Motion Gallery Aligns with The Prince’s Trust

LONDON, July 9: BBC Worldwide’s footage-sales division, BBC
Motion Gallery, has inked a deal for the video archives of the youth charity
The Prince’s Trust, granting it the rights to represent content from events
such as Party in the Park and Fashion Rocks.

The archive features performances by artists such as Robbie
Williams, Beyonce and Sting. The deal also covers a selection of rarely seen
content from key Prince’s Trust events over the last 25 years, including
performances by Elton John and Mariah Carey and an appearance by Nelson
Mandela.

BBC Motion Gallery also offers clips from sources such as
China Central TV, CBS News, NHK in Japan, ABC in Australia and The Commonwealth
Games Federation.

Paul Maidment, the business development director at BBC
Motion Gallery, noted: “The Prince’s Trust archive is truly unique. Their set
piece events have featured some of the biggest names in the world of music and
fashion and other parts of the archive feature content that couldn’t be
accessed anywhere else. This is a great opportunity for us to offer our clients
some really powerful clip content, but it's also a great way for the Trust
itself to generate some additional revenues to help fund their huge range of
charitable projects.”
