BBC America Takes Features From Disney, Sony

NEW YORK, October 26: Calendar
Girls and Four Weddings and a Funeral are among the features slated to air on BBC America, as
part of the cable network’s new deals with Buena Vista and Sony.

From Buena Vista the network
acquired Calendar Girls, The Quiet American, Kinky Boots, Essex Boys and Ethan Frome,
while from Sony it took Four Weddings and a Funeral and Shallow Grave.

Calendar Girls, with Helen Mirren and Julie Walters, premieres tonight at
9 p.m. EST. Kinky Boots will air next
summer. The Quiet American, starring
Michael Caine and Brendan Fraser, premieres January 2 at 7:00 p.m. ET. Essex
Boys with Sean Bean will air November 14
at 9:00 p.m. ET. And Ethan Frome,
featuring Liam Neeson, Joan Allen and Patricia Arquette in an adaptation of
Edith Wharton’s classic novel, will broadcast on BBC America on January 3 at 7
p.m.

Four Weddings and a Funeral with Hugh Grant and Andie MacDowell and Danny Boyle’s
comedy Shallow Grave are both slated to
air next summer.
