BBC America Announces New Acquisitions

NEW YORK, September 8: BBC America has picked up the rights
to a new documentary series, a crime drama and a prime-time soap for launch in
November.

The 7×1-hour Paparazzi,
from BBC Worldwide Americas, is a documentary series about Darryn Lyons, the
face behind one of the world’s largest paparazzi agencies, Big Pictures, with
offices in London, Los Angeles, New York and Sydney. It premieres November 8 at
9 p.m.

Vincent, a
4×90-minute series from Granada International, stars Ray Winstone as a
policeman turned private investigator. It launches November 6 at 9 p.m.

From Channel 4 is the 10×1-hour No Angels, a prime-time soap about four young female nurses
who work, live and play together. It begins its run on November 5 at 10 p.m.
