Bavaria Media Scores European Sales at MIPTV

CANNES/MUNICH, April 11: Bavaria Media Television has secured a total of
eight package deals at this year’s MIPTV, largely to broadcasters in Central
and Eastern Europe.

Among the deals scored in Eastern Europe are sales of Bitter Tropics and Vienna
Crime Squad
into Slovakia; The New Heidi into Croatia; Berlin Alexanderplatz to the
Slovenian market; and Zoo
Doctor—My Mom the Vet
into Latvia.

In Norway, NRK Super picked up a package that includes Sergeant Pepper, Amundsen, the Penguin and the two Bibi Blocksberg feature films. Additionally, TV2 Norway has
acquired the Spanish crime series Génesis, as has Greek broadcaster ERT. Meanwhile, the first season of Zoo
Doctor
will be shown on MTV 3 in
Finland, and the Austrian series Vienna Crime Squad has been sold to RAI in Italy, Viasat 3 in Hungary
and Latvian TV.

Bavaria Media also scored
a North American sale, with a package of crime series and television movies
being picked up by U.S. channel German Kino Plus. The package included Lady
Cop
, Scene of the Crime and Challenge In The Mountains.
