MUNICH: Bavaria Media Television will present new programming highlights at this year’s German Screenings, among them Prisoner of Love.

Prisoner of Love is set in the final days of World War II and features Barbara Sukowa in the leading role. Also in Bavaria’s portfolio is Playtime. Devid Striesow (The Counterfeiters) plays a young man who decides to apply his criminal artistry to save the young woman he loves from a life of prostitution.

Glamour & Greed, inspired by a true story, tells about an investment guru who knows how to wheedle big money out of businessmen, bankers, industrialists and heirs. The two-part mini-series will premiere on pubcaster ARD in January 2010.

The German Screenings take place at the hotel Le Méridien in Munich from November 29 to December 3.
