Bavaria Film Adds to Slate

MUNICH/LOS ANGELES: Beloved Berlin Wall, Rabbit Without Ears 2 and Henry of Navarre have joined the catalogue of Bavaria Film International. 

Bavaria picked up all rights outside German-speaking Europe for Beloved Berlin Wall and will host two full-length screenings of the film at the AFM. The movie is set against the harsh historical realities of a then-separated Germany. It’s a tale of a love affair that turns into an act of civil courage. Warner Bros. is handing the German Distribution for this Relevant Film production. 

Also from Warner Bros., Rabbit Without Ears 2 is available as a trailer at the AFM. The film follows on the success of Rabbit Without Ears, which generated more than $60 million at the German box office. The sequel will open in Germany on December 3. Worldwide rights are available, excluding German-speaking and Eastern Europe. 

Henry of Navarre is currently in post-production. It is an adaptation Heinrich Mann’s novel about the “Good King” of France who survived the St. Bartholemew’s Day massacre and united his people over religious warfare. Rights are available worldwide, excluding Germany. The German release is scheduled for March 18, 2010.
