CANNES: The Banijay Group’s Nordisk Film TV has been commissioned to co-produce The Voice Of… for Norway’s TV2.

The local adaptation of the hit singing competition will launch within the next six months. Magne ‘Mags’ Furuholmen from ’80s pop sensation A-Ha will serve as one of the coaches on the show. The Talpa-distributed format has further commissions across the Nordic territories, including Denmark for TV2, Sweden for TV4 and Finland for TV4 Nelonen. For Norway, Nordisk will co-produce the show with Talpa.

Jacob Houlind, Nordic CEO at Nordisk Film TV, said, “We are honored to announce that we have again been entrusted to produce this huge stand out format, The Voice of… for Norway. Being awarded the complete set of Nordic commissions is a great example of how our group structure can be exploited to deliver extremely high quality productions across the region, as standard, working as an integrated team. We have put a great deal of hard work into building our competencies in the entertainment genre and now it seems we are really seeing return on that investment.”
