LONDON: Companies from within the Banijay Group in France and the U.S. are taking part in the YouTube Original Content Initiative by creating online programming for new premium branded channels.

Air Productions, in partnership with France Télévisions, launched a new channel, Taratata On Air, which serves as an extension of its live music show Taratata. The channel is fully edited and programmed by Air Productions. It follows a weekly programming schedule, including original music content. The service also taps into the 20-year archive of Taratata footage.

From the U.S., Bunim/Murray Productions is working with Alchemy Networks to produce programming for an urban-themed YouTube channel that will launch in Q4. Bunim/Murray will provide new original programming five days a week.

Francois de Brugada, the executive VP of the Banijay Group, said, “As the way in which viewers consume video moves on, we too are changing the way we produce and distribute our product. Being invited to produce content for this new YouTube initiative demonstrates the quality of the programming the Group is creating across the world.”
