Banff & Sichuan TV to Develop Interactive Competition Opportunities

SICHUAN/TORONTO: The nextMEDIA/Banff World Television Festival and Sichuan TV Festival have entered into an agreement jointly aimed at developing new-media competition opportunities in China, as well as in the linear TV genres within both festivals. 

“China is rapidly growing in the development of exciting new content and this agreement will help showcase both new media and television content from China on the world stage that the nextMEDIA/Banff World Television Festival Awards competition provides,” said Ferne Cohen, the executive director of the Banff World Television Festival.
 
“We look forward to a long term relationship that will enrich both of our festivals and provide new opportunities for young Chinese producers to learn and promote their work,” added Sun Jian-Ying, the deputy director of the Sichuan TV Festival.
