Bakish Tapped as President of MTVNI

NEW YORK, January 5: Viacom veteran Bob Bakish has been
appointed president of MTV Networks International, reporting to Bill Roedy, who
will retain oversight of MTVNI in addition to his global role as vice chairman
of MTV Networks.

In the newly created position, Bakish will take on
day-to-day management responsibility for MTVNI, including the local and
regional operations across Europe, Latin America and Asia-Pacific. Reporting to
Bakish will be the managing directors of the key regions and MTVNI COO Alex
Ferrari.

Bakish is currently Viacom’s executive VP of operations and
Viacom Enterprises, responsible for strategic planning, business development,
Famous Music, Viacom Plus and IS&T.

Viacom CEO Philippe Dauman said of Bakish’s MTVNI
appointment: “Bob’s move from Viacom to MTVN International reflects the
importance of reaping the benefits of our leading brand positions around the
world as one of Viacom’s key growth opportunities. In working closely with
Bill, Bob will help accelerate our strategic focus on maximizing our positions
in key markets and accelerating expansion in areas like digital media, ad
sales, Nickelodeon and consumer products, while driving significant improvement
in our international margins."

Bakish’s responsibilities at Viacom will be taken over by
Wade Davis in the newly created role of SVP of strategy, mergers and
acquisitions. Davis was formerly SVP of mergers and acquisitions for Viacom. He
will be responsible for strategic planning, business development, identifying
and assessing potential mergers and acquisitions, managing Viacom's
interactions with the banking and investment communities on strategic
transactions, and leading the execution of the resulting transactions. He will
report to Thomas E. Dooley, the senior executive VP, chief administrative
officer and CFO of Viacom.

"Viacom has made a number of very important acquisitions
over the last year, and Wade has been instrumental in identifying and bringing
those businesses in-house,” Dauman said. “His newly expanded responsibilities
are not only recognition of these important contributions, but also a testament
to his leadership abilities and his significant untapped potential as a
strategic advisor. Tom and I will continue to rely on Wade's M&A
experience, as well as his strong strategic view of emerging markets, as we
assess how to best take advantage of the many growth areas available to Viacom
in the burgeoning digital arena."
