LONDON: BabyTV has found carriage on Western Canada’s TELUS Optik TV, which will offer the channel in English, Mandarin and French.

The channel is divided into distinct daytime and night-time playlists, focusing on family schedules. Short episodes run throughout the day to engage young, active children; at night, soft music and lullabies feature throughout the schedule.

“We are very excited about launching BabyTV with TELUS,” said Maya Talit, the global marketing director for BabyTV. “Not only are we introducing three language channels targeting different audience groups, the launch with TELUS also marks the first time that our content will be available to viewers in Western Canada. BabyTV has experienced a rapid pick-up in North America since the start of 2011 and we are very happy to be able to extend our unique service and exclusive shows to even more families.”

Ron Isaak, the programming director and co-founder of BabyTV, commented: “Behind all of our shows are the premise that exposing children to ideas and information in a friendly way, and with the help of loveable characters, leads to a positive experience that opens the door for future learning."
