BabyFirstTV Launches Line of Child Development DVDs

LOS ANGELES, October 19:
BabyFirstTV, a 24/7 commercial-free television channel for babies and toddlers,
will roll out a line of DVDs based on original programming from the channel,
beginning November 1.

The initial phase of the BabyFirstTV
DVD collection will consist of six titles, sold individually or in three
different multi-pack configurations (two 3-DVD sets and one complete 6-DVD
collection). Individual releases will be sold for $15.95. The 3-DVD collections
are priced at $35.95 and the 6-DVD collection is priced at $65.95.

Each title features
award-winning programming developed by child development experts and includes
on-screen parenting tips and information. Additionally, the DVDs offer a
three-step introduction method to topics, English/Spanish audio soundtracks,
and a two-month free subscription to the premium channel (where available)
within the package.

Titles in the collection
include Social Explorations,
taking babies and toddlers on an adventure of discovery through a variety of
games and activities; Visual Inspirations, exploring the beauty of art in a way that adjusts to the nature and
pace of a child’s development; Vocabulary Seeds, which provides a taste of the gradual process
where vocabulary is created and enhanced; Cognitive Beginnings, examining different components of our cognitive
abilities in three progressive steps; Numerical Concepts, which introduces numbers and counting as well as
the relationships between various shapes; and Night Symphony, featuring lullaby music and soothing images to
enhance quiet time for babies and their parents.

The formation of
BabyFirstTV Home Entertainment follows the channel’s recent marking of its
first anniversary, as well as its growth both in the U.S. and internationally.
BabyFirstTV has launched in Canada, the U.K., Mexico, Puerto Rico, Korea,
Mexico, the Middle East, and, most recently, France.

Heading up BabyFirstTV’s
DVD division is Jeffrey Quinn, the company’s senior VP of sales and marketing
who will add the new home entertainment aspect of operations to his current
sales and marketing remit on behalf of the channel.

“Many of our viewers have
requested extensions of our original programming and these new DVDs not only
fill that need, but are a natural expansion for our company,” said Quinn.
“We’re excited to be able to present the content matter in a unique way that
will be enjoyed by children and their parents alike.”
