Atlantyca Launches New Division, Scores First Deal

MILAN, June 24: Atlantyca
Entertainment has launched its newly established content-publishing division,
securing its first licensing deal with Taffy Entertainment to produce novels
loosely based on the animated series Code Lyoko.

Atlantyca will create a
series of four books for Code Lyoko,
which follows the adventures of four students who discover a mysterious
parallel universe. The first one is slated for release by early 2009. Through
its new division, Atlantyca plans to develop other entertainment properties
into books, publishing approximately 50 products per year.

"Having been in the
publishing business for over 30 years, this is a natural endeavor for the
company," said Pietro Marietti, the chairman of Atlantyca Entertainment.
"Taffy is certainly a natural first partner for us; we are excited to be
continuously growing in our relationship with them and anxious to bring the Code
Lyoko
signature characters to life
in a whole new range of stories."

"There are many great
characters in the marketplace with huge potential as a book property,"
continued Marietti. "We want to work with companies in the U.S. and
throughout Europe to develop these characters and brands into new and very
unique story ideas, not episodic books, but to create 'proper' storytelling
novels."
