Asian Food Channel Picks Up Janson’s Chef’s Story

HARRINGTON
PARK, January 30: Janson Media has licensed its 26×30-minute culinary series Chef’s
Story
to Asian Food
Channel (AFC) for a pan-regional satellite viewership that spans the
territories of Singapore, Malaysia, Brunei, the Philippines, Indonesia, Hong
Kong and India.

Chef’s
Story
is a 26-part
series that brings together 27 chefs to tell their stories of culinary
accomplishments. Each half-hour episode is filmed before a live audience at the
French Culinary Institute in New York, and focuses on the life and work of a master
chef. Each chef shares personal and professional reminiscences and demonstrates
cooking techniques. Chef’s Story was produced by Full Plate Media and SoHo Culinary Productions
for KQED-TV in San Francisco.

The series
recently premiered on PBS stations across the U.S. and is available exclusively
from Janson Media for international television, VOD, DVD/Video, and new media
markets.

Launched in
2005, the Asian Food Channel is the first and only regional Asian food TV
channel in the region. It is a pay channel that provides a mix of both Eastern
and Western programs in a variety of formats.
