Armoza to Offer New Series in Cannes

TEL AVIV: Armoza Formats is bringing a slate of new releases to MIPCOM, including the reality format 24/7 Love Lab.

24/7 Love Lab features one bachelor, his three best friends and 14 single women living in a luxurious mansion while competing for his heart with the possibility of winning $1 million. The series is produced in cooperation with the Israeli internet portal Walla!, features an interactive online platform with 24/7 viewing from multiple cameras and access to the players’ smartphone network, iPhone and iPad applications. The series is produced by Abot-Reif-HaMeiri and launched this summer on Channel 10. A second season is in the works for 2012.

Other series offered include The Green Project, a new scripted comedy format that uses green screens. It launched in August on Comedy Central in Israel. A second season is currently in production. In The Real Chat House, three "Chat Masters" live for 90 days in a mansion and must invite contestants to join them with the goal of collecting as many friends as possible to win the game and claim the $1 million prize.

The scripted drama format 2.3 a Week is about a fictional national survey on contemporary sex habits. The series currently airs on Channel 10 and a second season has been commissioned.

Avi Armoza, CEO, said, "As always, we’re pleased to return to Cannes with a lineup of stellar formats that have already proven themselves as hits in Israel. In recent years, there has been a real lack of fresh new prime-time reality concepts in the international TV market, and we’re excited to offer two excellent choices—24/7 Love Lab and The Real Chat House. We’re always searching for fresh new angles to the sketch comedy genre, and with The Green Project we’ve found a great-looking product that is cost-effective enough to be a part of any channel’s lineup. 2.3 a Week continues our tradition of high-quality, high-concept scripted dramas, and with 35 episodes scripted, it has great potential to be a long-lasting series that delves into the great emotional depths of these wonderful characters."
