PARIS: The Walt Disney Company, 20th Century Fox, MGM, Paramount Pictures, Sony Pictures Home Entertainment, Universal Studios and Warner Bros. have all opened up their film libraries to make movies available to rent or purchase through the iTunes stores in France and Ireland.

In France, European studios, including Pathé, SND and StudioCanal, are on board as well. This brings titles such as Avatar, The Twilight Saga: New Moon, Up, Inglourious Basterds, LOL, Coco and La première étoile.

For Ireland, E1 Entertainment, Lionsgate UK and Optimum Releasing are making their movies available via the iTunes Store. Titles include The Hangover, Iron Man and Harry Brown.

With iTunes Movie Rentals, once a movie is rented, it starts downloading from the iTunes Store directly to iTunes or Apple TV. Customers have up to 30 days to start watching it, and once a movie has been started customers have it available for 48 hours.
