Aoh!k to Roll Out Hanazuki Brand Worldwide

LONDON: Aoh!k Commercial, the new merchandising and marketing outfit set up by former Classic Media exec Andrew Kerr, has been tapped to represent the Hanazuki brand globally, managing all commercial activity, from licensing through to TV production.

Aoh!k is representing the brand on behalf of The Hanazuki Company, co-founded by Niko Stumpo and Hanneke Matselaar. Stumpo and Metselaar have been developing Hanazuki for the past five years, creating a detailed universe in which the characters play out the story lines. The property features Hanazuki and her friend Little Dreamer fending off villainous Nightmares, mischievous Hemkas and the ever-hungry Fatty Bum Bum, protecting the planet while also exploring comets and stars and learning lessons about themselves and the universe they live in.

Kerr, the managing director of Aoh!k Commercial, commented: “I am incredibly excited to be working on Hanazuki—a brand remarkably rich in commercial potential. The brand is aimed at 7- to 10-year-old girls, and is a refreshing change from the usual type of content placed in front of this audience. It’s sweet, sassy and subversive—an ideal blend of action and attitude for the pre-teen girl audience.”
