ANYTIME and NBC Universal Expand Relationship for Asia-Pacific

UNIVERSAL CITY/SINGAPORE,
March 23: In a new multiple-year agreement with NBC Universal International Television Distribution, ANYTIME has
secured the subscription VOD rights and the Internet distribution rights in
multiple territories across Asia Pacific to NBC Universal feature films, in
addition to its existing traditional VOD rights to those titles.

Highlights
of the new deal include Children of Men and The Good Shepherd as
well as the upcoming Evan Almighty,
I Now Pronounce You Chuck and Larry
and The Bourne Ultimatum, as
well as titles from NBC Universal’s library of more than 4,000 feature films.

The new distribution
agreement follows the existing traditional VOD rights ANYTIME had previously
secured for NBC Universal’s films in the Asia Pacific region. Also included
under the new agreement are the addition of two new territories, India and
China.

“This is a great vote of
confidence in our business strategy and product offering,” said Craig Zimbulis,
the president and CEO of ANYTIME. “NBC Universal has been a longtime partner of
ANYTIME and its content has been a key pillar to our success.”

Added Beth Minehart, the
SVP of international on-demand licensing for NBC Universal International
Television Distribution, “We are excited about the opportunity to increase
digital distribution in the Asia Pacific. Expanding our relationship with
ANYTIME is a demonstration of our commitment to grow our footprint in this
burgeoning region.”

ANYTIME is Asia Pacific’s
dominant VOD channel, delivered to consumers over IPTV, broadband and digital
cable networks. ANYTIME has output deals and access to the libraries of five
Hollywood studios—Fox, Sony, Warner, NBC Universal and Buena Vista
International Television—and licenses with regional content providers
like Celestial Pictures and ICON Film Distribution. ANYTIME has existing
carriage deals in Australia, India, China, Taiwan and Thailand, and the rights
to license into 15 territories in Asia Pacific.
