Anna Priest Moves Up at A+E Networks

LONDON: A+E Networks has elevated Anna Priest to VP of global brands, a newly created position that is effective September 1.

In her new role, Priest will work under Amanda Hill, the chief creative officer for international at A+E Networks. She is charged with setting the company's three- to five-year global brand strategies and marketing plans and will collaborate with senior team members across the business to build brand excellence throughout the international marketing network. Priest will also review new ways to develop and increase the growth and impact of A+E Networks, while leading the company's worldwide corporate social responsibility programs. In addition, she will continue to supervise marketing, communications and digital activity at A+E Networks UK, reporting to Heather Jones, the senior VP of content and creative.

Prior to joining A+E Networks in 2011, Priest served as the head of marketing, superbrands and portfolio at the BBC, where she oversaw such brands as Doctor Who, Top Gear and Strictly Come Dancing. Before that, she held senior marketing positions at BBC Three, Comic Relief and Radio One.
