TEL AVIV: Keshet International has entered into a co-development deal with the Canadian indie Facet4 Media, with the two targeting drama and comedy projects.

The projects to come out of the KI-Facet4 deal are being positioned for the Canadian and international marketplace. The move follows the recent opening of KI’s new L.A.-based scripted outpost, Keshet Studios, and the announcement of a European drama initiative that will see KI developing and funding three to four European drama projects a year.

Stephen Greenberg, the president of Facet4, said, “We are delighted to be working together with Keshet International. We believe that together with KI’s passion and creativity we have the capacity to build on the strengths of both companies and satisfy the ever-growing need of broadcasters around the world with entertaining and quality programming.”

Cynthia Kennedy, the sales director at Keshet International, said, “With its balance of North American and British sensibilities, Canada is an essential market for Keshet International. We are very excited about bringing Canadian ideas and talent to the world stage and are delighted to be working with Facet4 Media to make our Canadian ambitions a reality. Stephen and his team share our passion for great storytelling and this is at the core of everything we do at KI, making them an ideal partner in Canada. We look forward to growing our presence in Canada with the same momentum we have achieved in key territories such as the U.S. and the U.K.”
