Amy Poehler & Broad City Stars Headed to MIPTV

LONDON: Executive producer Amy Poehler is set to join the creators, writers, producers and stars of the Comedy Central series Broad City in Cannes at MIPTV.

The new series is currently averaging a weekly audience of 1.2 million viewers in the U.S. It is now launching for international syndication at MIPTV. Season two has already been greenlit.

Poehler will take part in a panel on the first day of MIPTV called The Power of Comedy: Laughing its way from online to linear. On the panel, she will join the creators, writers, executive producers and stars of both the original web and TV series Abbi Jacobson and Ilana Glazer; Kent Alterman, the president of content development and original programming at Comedy Central U.S.; and Caroline Beaton, the senior VP of international program sales at Viacom International Media Networks (VIMN).
