Amazon to Stream Fox Content

SEATTLE: Amazon.com has signed a digital video license agreement with Twentieth Century Fox that allows Amazon Prime members to instantly stream a selection of movies and TV shows from the studio’s library.

Movies such as Speed, Mrs. Doubtfire, Last of the Mohicans and Office Space will be available for Prime members to stream alongside classics such as All About Eve, 9 to 5 and Butch Cassidy and the Sundance Kid. TV shows available through the new deal include 24, The X-Files, NYPD Blue, Arrested Development, Buffy the Vampire Slayer and The Wonder Years. The deal brings the total number of videos available to Prime members to more than 11,000 movies and tV shows.

“We have received very positive feedback from Prime members about Prime instant videos. Customers love the instant access to thousands of movie and TV favorites,” said Steve Oliver, the director of video at Amazon.com. “Since the launch of Prime instant videos in February, we have more than doubled the library to 11,000 titles and will continue to add more of our customers’ favorite movies and TV shows to Prime instant videos.”
