Alfred Haber Sells AMAs Internationally

PALISADES PARK: In its 18th year as the exclusive international distributor for the American Music Awards (AMAs), Alfred Haber Distribution, Inc. (AHDI) has firmed up a slew of broadcasters for the 2009 event.

Foxtel in Australia, France’s Paris Premiere, VH1 in the U.K., NHK in Japan, M-Net in South Africa, Turner Latin America, VTM in Belgium, Kanal 5 in Sweden and TV2 in Denmark have all signed up for the 2009 AMAs, which honor artists in the categories of pop/rock, country, rap/hip-hop, soul/R&B, alternative, adult contemporary, Latin and contemporary inspirational. The awards, set to air November 22 on ABC in the U.S., were created in 1973 to pay tribute to popular musicians. The AMAs are produced by dick clark productions.
