AETN International Brings 280-Plus New Hours to MIPTV

NEW YORK, April 11: AETN International will be armed with
over 280 hours of new programming at MIPTV next week, including the new
“real-life” 12×1-hour series Sons of Hollywood, and returning series such as the 33×30-minute SWAT and the 38×30-minute Criss Angel Mindfreak.

Sons of Hollywood follows
the daily lives of three well-heeled offspring—Randy Spelling, son of the
late television producer Aaron Spelling; Sean Stewart, son of music legend Rod
Stewart; and rising talent manager David Weintraub—as they try to make it
big in Hollywood. Meanwhile, in the crime and justice arena, AETN International
will showcase another “real-life” series, SWAT, which is produced by Granada America for A&E
Network. The series delves into the job hazards of the Police Department’s
Tactical Unit.

On the factual entertainment end, the company will also be
bringing Criss Angel Mindfreak, featuring
Criss Angel, a three-time recipient of the “Magician of the Year” award, who
performs daredevil stunts and revolutionary illusions. In addition, AETN
International will also highlight two 1×2-hour documentaries produced for The
History Channel: Blood Diamonds, which
focuses on the illicit global diamond trade, and Last Stand of the
300,
which explores the Greek/Persian War.
