AETN Content Headed Across Europe, Asia

NEW YORK: Broadcasters throughout Europe and Asia have signed up for programming from AETN International following the company’s MIPTV outing.

In Belgium, VMMA went for AETN’s Lifetime Movie Package, along with the series Most Extreme Airports, Heavy and a fifth season of Ice Road Truckers. Spain’s TV3 opted for America: The Story of US and Engineering an Empire. A number of deals were wrapped across Scandinavia. TV2 in Norway picked up Manhunters and IRT Deadliest Roads. DR in Denmark took Ice Road Truckers. Sweden’s Kanal 5 picked up a package of Biography episodes, including BIO Remembers: Elizabeth Taylor and Charlie Sheen: Bad Boy on the Edge. Also in Sweden, TV 4 licensed a number of programs as part of a long-term agreement.

HRT Croatian TV scooped up Pawn Stars and WWII Lost Films. Spectrum took on Cities of the Underworld and The First 48 for the Czech Republic, Slovakia and Hungary. Mega in Ukraine took the series Shockwave, while Kanal 1 went for a package of crime titles, including Steven Seagal Lawman, The Squad: Prison Police, Fugitive Chronicles and American Gangster for Bosnia and Herzegovina.

In Asia, Korea’s Military Channel acquired Top Shot. Malaysia’s NTV7 and Singapore’s Media Corp. Channel 15 licensed Seriously Funny Kids, featuring Heidi Klum.
