A+E Networks Makes Asian Appointment

NEW YORK/SINGAPORE: Saugato Banerjee has been named the director of strategy and business development for Asia at A+E Networks.

Banerjee will be based in Singapore and report to Alan Hodges, the managing director for Asia Pacific at A+E Networks. He will oversee the company’s business development efforts across the Asia Pacific.

Prior to this, Banerjee worked at ESPN STAR Sports and helped launch ESPNEWS, ESPN HD and ESPN Player.

“We are aggressively moving to expand the footprint of our channel brands into new territories throughout the Asia-Pacific region, via both traditional linear television channels and on digital media platforms,” Hodges said. “Shoggy’s experience, energy and wisdom are great assets as we chart our next phase of growth in Asia Pacific.”
