Amid all the talk about borders, walls and nationalism today, audiences worldwide are boldly embracing a new vision of globalism when it comes to their viewing habits. The power of international storytelling, from drama to formats, high-end documentaries to enriching children’s content, is on display across our ambitious MIPTV edition. European television, in particular, is in the spotlight this MIPTV. Our main feature explores the gains being seen by European distributors, as well as the challenges the region is facing, from the fears of a disintegrating EU in the wake of Brexit to the complexities of the looming digital single market legislation.
